Today, you wrote a 10 minute timed summary or "Paul's Case".
I then showed you a Powerpoint explaining the summary of this story, the effect his personality had on the outcome, and then gave you the major themes for it.
If you were not here, you can either come in in the morning or at lunch to see the Powerpoint, get jot notes from your fellow classmates, or go online and do a search of summary and themes (there are many places that provide this information).
I then handed out the short story "Miss Brill" by Katherine Mansfield. You are to have it actively read for Monday, January 13. It is in your portfolio. Additionally, you can find the story online using google.
